Finally! Spring is on the horizon and we couldn’t be happier. Sunglasses reemerge, evenings draw out and flowers begin to blossom. This week we look forward to trends that will inspire us, destinations we are itching to get to and material we are hoping to read, watch and share. Spring air, brings a fresh perspective and we are throwing our energy into a new collection, travel plans and welcoming new creatives to the team.
‘En Mai, fais ce qu’il te plaît’
In May, do what you want’
LA - Having recently visited the sprawling metropolis that is LA, Georgie, (founder of Wanderlust Life), can not recommend this destination enough. We hear from Georgie on why this is her must-see destination for anyone who hasn’t been.
“A day in LA…
1. Head to Venice Beach.
2. Visit the The Gratitude Cafe for lunch, the menu is brilliant!
3. Hit up Gjelina on Abbot Kinney for Dinner. Visit Abbot Kinney for your fix of super coffee shops, juice bars, yoga studios and little boutiques. Voted by GQ as the coolest street in America, if we could stock Wanderlust Life anywhere, it would be here!”
We are extremely excited to introduce our newest jewellery maker, Eva. Previously a freelance set designer in Paris, Eva spent her former years growing up in Provence, where she enjoyed playing amongst the surrounding sunflower and lavender fields. Eva tells us why Provence should be our next holiday destination.
“My favourite spot for a wild swim is in Drôme Provençale which is in an area called the Diois. It’s very preserved from tourism as is tucked away in between the Vercors and Provence. You can enjoy the heat of Provence, the cool mountain rivers and a goats cheese festival located in a stunning white stone village. I recommend doing all of the above with a refreshing glass of Clairette (divine sparkling white wine) in hand”.
Becky M, (Assistant Studio Manager), is embarking on an exciting new journey, taking some time out before bravely starting a new phase of her life, as a primary school teacher.
Becky will be exploring the south coast of Sri Lanka, surfing, eating, hiking and swimming with turtles (hopefully) are all part of her travel itinerary. She is taking a number of gemstones with her from the Wanderlust Like collection including her Labradorite Fine Cord Necklace and her Unity Moonstone Ring.
Cold: Stockholm, Sweden
Becky (studio manager) is exploring Sweden whilst staying in an architectural dream home found on Air Bnb.
The home is situated at one of the highest points in Stockholm with stunning views of the ocean to the north and the untouched forest to the south. If you are in need of some interior inspiration for your home we reccommend reading 'Do Inhabit’, a book that helps you to create a home (and work space) that invites connection and creativity. Here are 5 top tips for wellness in Spring 🌱
1). Walk | Spend time in nature and away from technology. Get outdoors after the winter and soak up some spring sun. raise your heart rate and recommit to a healthy lifestyle.
2). Read | Spring is about new life, new opportunities, getting inspired and setting goals. Read The Answer by Allan and Barbara Pease for practical goal setting advice.
3). Eat Fruit, veg, lean protein and healthy fats | Look for local produce and farmers markets.
4). Breathe | Try something new or improve existing practices with yoga and meditation. Or follow our lead and learn how you can control the chemistry of your mind and body with breathing techniques that help you deal with stressful work/life situations. We had a Wanderlust Life team 'Mindfit' workshop with Personal Trainer, Andrew Blake.
5). Minimalise | Have a clean and clutter free body and mind. Start with your wardrobe, look at Project 333 and see how you can reduce stress by loving everything that you wear. Then look further afield by watching Netflix documentary “Minimalism, a documentary about the important things”.

A little pre-spring sun was in order for Georgie (Founder) this year as she escaped the harsh UK winter and travelled to Mexico. She was inspired by the traditional beadwork & jewellery of the Huichol indigenous people, their work features designs that have changed little & retain their religious & symbolic significance. Expect to see the influence in our designs coming through…
We’re excited about the arrival of the new Porthole Café on Marine Drive, Woolacombe beach, opening this Easter.
The café is a new venture from our friends at Seadog, who were winners of the British St Food award, best of the best & Best Snack 2015, in association with the National Trust. The café will be the perfect spot to discover Middle Beach.
Head down one of the dirt tracks through the dunes and enjoy this quiet spot half way between the popular & sometime busy beaches of Woolacombe (Britain’s best beach by TripAdvisor) & Putsborough.
Visit this Summers retrospective of Cindy Sherman. Famed for the manipulation of her own appearance and her deployment of material derived from a range of cultural sources, including film, advertising and fashion, the exhibition will explore the tension between façade and identity.
Holly recently joined the team as Studio Administrator. Having grown up surrounded by inspiring and creative women she is excited to join the Wanderlust Life collective of explorers, dreamers & influencers.
To kick start her Spring inspiration she is nestling into the pages of Michelle Obama’s biography “Becoming” which journeys her story from roots as a black American living in south Chicago to finding her voice as the First Lady of America (with careers, marriage and children along the way!). This solid book may weigh your beach bag down but is bound to lighten your soul with hope and possibilities.
After Georgie’s a trip to Los Angeles, we were inspired to bring some Palo Santo incense into our Lifestore after seeing it within beautiful lifestyle stores across California. The earthy incense sits perfectly within the Dor & Tan pinch dish, which is also stocked in our Lifestore.
‘Scent and memory are so interlinked and connected. I’m currently coveting the ‘Replica’range by Maison Margiela reproduces familiar scents and moments of varying locations and periods. We love the sound of ‘Beach Walk’, ‘Lipstick On’ and ‘Under the Lemon Trees’. There are 10 fragrances to choose from, and I love that each is available in a 10ml travel sized bottles for £23.50.’ - Georgie
