We were so honoured to be able to host a wellness day retreat to raise funds for our littlest team member, JoJo, the daughter of Wanderlust Life Retail Assistant Emily. Prader-Willi Syndrome has severely affected JoJo’s ability to walk. With an aim of helping her jump-start her walking journey, we shared a sun-soaked day of daoism, reggae yoga, plant-based food and creative workshops, raising £2,000 in the process. So a huge thank you to all of those who came, participated, organised and donated – you are all truly wonderful.
“NAPA is a specialist therapy centre that helps children progress developmentally by up to 12 months within three weeks. We filled out reams and reams of forms and were told to expect a year’s wait, but a space became available for mid-October. That powered us to attempt to raise £15,000 in three months. With the support and kindness of our amazing community, we managed it! We’re flying to Boston October 17th and JoJo will dive straight in: four hours of personalised therapy, three hours of physio and one hour of speech and language daily. With weekends off, we’re planning to squeeze in adventures to Cape Cod, Boston, pumpkin patches and roadside diners. We want to embrace as much as we can!”
