Summer sensations and coastal inspirations behind our new collection

We’ve been hard at work in the studio on a new capsule collection to bring in the bright spirit of summertime. Sundaze was inspired by our coastal surroundings and favourite season of the year. “We wanted to create a playful collection that celebrates summer sunshine and beach life”, says Wanderlust Life founder Georgie Roberts.

As part of the new range, our Summerdaze pendant necklace, bangle bracelet, earrings and ring feature a hand-cast sun motif surrounding an iridescent opal cabochon. “The sun motif has a nostalgic 90s feel that reminds me of growing up by the beach here in Devon”, Georgie explains.

Barricane Beach – a secluded cove where we like to head for sundowners, swims and shell seeking – provided further inspo. When one of the women on our all-star makers bench, Mary, brought in a collection of cowry shells from Barricane, we knew we’d found the centrepiece of our new Beachdaze duo.

“We cast the shell and combined it with mother of pearl to create a tactile piece that embodies a love of nature”, explains jewellery designer Jo Owdud. Featuring Mary’s cowry shell cast in gold vermeil, the adjustable pearl pieces are designed to be layered up with your own haul of beads, pearls, shells and mixed metals.
