TRAVEL INSPO: BARCELONA
BARCELONA
a weekend of sunshine & smiles in the city
Last week we escaped the cold for a few days to Barcelona. We had the best few days bimbling around the city, taking in some serious visual & cultural eye candy.

WHERE WE STAYED
Barri Gotic | Central Barcelona
We stayed in the old part of the city, super central (just seconds away from La Ramblas, which is the main street) a beautiful area steeped in history. The days were warm & sunny, the nights cold & cosy. We sat out each evening for tapas on the little squares we discovered, nestled away in between the narrow streets of the medieval quarter.
EYE CANDY - THINGS WE SAW
Gaudi | Barceloneta Beach | El Ravel
Barcelona is a relatively small city, and we did everything by foot (the best way to see a city & stumble upon hidden coffee shops & independent stores along the way!)
We saw some of Antoni Gaudi's BEAUTIFUL architectural masterpieces, including the Sagrada Familia & La Pedrera.
I love a city by the sea, it creates a perfect mix of laid back vibes and cosmopolitan city style. Barceloneta beach was our first stop for a bit of down time & we found the Surf House a great lunch hangout with a vista - relaxed vibes and perfect for some healthy fast food for lunch.

THINGS WE ATE
Chök | Satuns Coffee Corner
Satan's Coffee Corner serves the best brew in the neighbourhood. Founded by top barista Marcos Bartolomé its definitely worth a trip if coffees your thing. For all you chocolate lovers, take a trip just off La Ramblas and enter the Chok THE chocolate kitchen. Have you ever seen a donut look so pretty? The pistachio cruffin (half muffin half croissant) was INSANE.
