HIDDEN GEMS
Perched on the edge of the Atlantic in North Devon, Wanderlust Life is inspired by the wild beauty of the coast. Our shop sits on the road to some of the most breathtaking beaches in the UK, where rolling waves, golden sands and endless horizons shape everything we create.
From the jewellery we design to the way we live, the rhythm of the sea runs through it all: calm, intentional and always open to adventure. If you’ve visited us in-store, we’d love to stay connected. And if you’re looking for a keepsake from your time by the ocean, we might just have something special waiting for you.
For now though, here are some of must-do or must-see spots and sights in North Devon. A guide to Hevon on Earth (...see what we did there?)
CLUCK CHICKEN, CROYDE
Buttermilk fried chicken thigh burgers that are instantly addictive: served up fresh daily and with veggie options.
THE PORTHOLE, WOOLACOMBE
A stunning café where the only thing better than the food is the incredible view over Middle Beach (the stretch between Putsborough and Woolacombe).
HEARTBREAK HOTEL, BRAUNTON
Our go-to for donuts and coffee, AND just a short stroll from our shop which we are very happy about.
FARMERS ARMS, WOLFHARDISWORTHY
(Or simply ‘Woolsery’ for short). A wholesomely high-end Devonian pub with a country-inspired menu. There’s nothing quite like their Sunday roasts…
WOOLACOMBE NEO CINEMA
Whoever decided to swap cinema chairs for armchairs and sofas was a genius. Keep an eye on their website for the latest screenings.
BURTON GALLERY, BIDEFORD
A gallery, museum, and inspiring creative space, complete with a charming French style café on site.
SEA POOL, WESTWARD HO!
Set among the rock pools and dating back to the Victorian times, it’s a perfect spot for an open-water dip.
BROADSANDS, WATERMOUTH
A hidden wild swimming spot, accessed via 200 steps….(or by kayak, if you rent one from Active Escape.)
APPLEDORE - INSTOW FERRY
Hop between two charming maritime villages by boat, running every 10 minutes (tide-dependent).
SEA SAUNA, SAUNTON
Therapy like no other: dart between the cold Atlantic ocean and a hot, wood-fired sauna (on the beach!). Check their website for session times.
VALLEY OF THE ROCKS, LYNTON
A walk with a view where craggy Exmoor cliffs drop dramatically to the sea. A must for hikers and daydreamers alike.
SEE FOR YOURSELF
With views of Braunton Burrows, Casa Paloma is Wanderlust Life’s holiday house, available to let all year round, for up to five guests.
